And this weeks injury is brought to you by ... bruised kneeDate: 05/07/2004 It is amazing how things can change all of a sudden! On Friday the weekly teamlist came through and I was named as an emergency (blergh!!) I arrived on Sunday expecting to watch but as luck would have it a few of the players turned up late and didn't ring to tell the coach so I got to suit up 
I actually played three quarters this time and did some good stuff. I got one kick, one mark, a few handballs (all of them from hard ball gets ) and two smothers (one was a falcon - that is, I smothered one with my head!). The downside is that I tripped at one point and banged my knee on the practice cricket pitch which is as hard as a rock.
Oh it turns out that I have been playing on the same team as a celebrity! Merrick from Merrick and Rosso has been training with us all year and played his first game on the weekend (is it sad that I didn't realise it was him until last week?) Even worse was that he got a goal ... with a kick over his head!!
Oh we won the game 30.19 (199) to 1.4 (10) (oh yes, it was a good percentage boost ) We play Pat Rafter's team this week! (I will be really surprised if I am playing this week!)
Oh please vote (a few times!) for David and the Citizens
