Oh apparently my spine is pretty damn good. I went to the chiropractor on Saturday and he was sort of worried about parts of my back, so off I went to get some x-rays done on my spine. Had a follow-up appointment on Monday and the chiropractor said it was one of the best looking spines he had seen in a long tome . The only problems are a slight rotation in my hips and one bone in my neck (which is literally a pain in the neck when I life things above my head!) It all should be fixed up in a few weeks. Liz is going to take a while longer though
My annoyance of the week - dealing with insurance companies!
Liz's insurance is up on her car and she was sent a renewal for about $1290 odd dollars. It seemed a stupidly high amount to be paying for one years worth of cover. So I decided to do a bit of shopping around to see if I could do better else where. I started by using and online quote system I could find (NRMA/Suncorp/Allianz/AAMI). I then got there and rang GIO to see if they could do any better and they were willing to at least try and match the best price I could get (which at the time was AAMI - but having dealt with them before I really didn't want to use them!). I then called NRMA to see if they could do any better (they were the original $1290) but they were totally unresponsive. They claimed that they couldn't do any better than what they quoted (because its all worked out on the risk of the area ... umm he forgot to mention about try to rip people off as much as possible for their profit margin ). We ended up going with GIO as they seem to be the most responsive of the lot and we ended up saving over $150 dollars because of the shopping around. Not too shabby
Getting late, going now!
Later,
Steve
