I'm getting there!Date: 12/07/2006 Mood: Down Listening to: VAST - Touched OK Emily, the Utopia photos are here! (if your picture isn't in there then unfortunately the photo probably turned out blurred ) Minh and myself went to Utopia. It was a lot of fun, I need to find somewhere that has works done by RX or Compulsion - they were both great to listen to.
I have spent the last few days working on my site to fix up a lot of little bugs and get the administration side working nicely (which it is ).
I have taken just under 2000 photos with my camera (oh how I love my camera!) in the two months I have had it. I had my old camera for 4.5 years and I only took 5500 photos with it!
Speaking of new things, I have a new bike too! It is great fun to ride, well except when I go for a jump and lose control on the landing - apparently it was funny to watch but no damage done (to me or the bike!). Oh and everyone should have a dual suspension bike! They are just so nice to ride compared to a hard tail bike!
Sports Update!
Aussie Rules:
The 4th graders played two weekends ago and we lost That pretty much puts us out of the finals. I played like crap and injured my knee again but got the ball twice and actually dodged people trying to tackle me - it makes me want to take up rugby next year to see if I can do it on a rugby field
The 1st graders had their first win for the year which was a good thing! I was starting to worry that they weren't going to win this year (having played years where we only won one game, it is no fun )
The Balmain Football Club has done a deal to become the Balmain Dockers from next season onwards (and I now have control of the balmaindockers.com and balmaindockers.com.au domains )
The Demons are now in third place having won 10 of the last 11 games. Looking good for this years finals Hopefully we won't have a crash like what happened at the end of last year!
Soccer:
The World Cup is now over and all I have to say is - go Zidane! That headbutt was the best bit of the whole tournament! Blah to Italy for winning, mind you it makes Australia look better that we were knocked out by the winner.
Cycling:
With the World Cup being over I thought I would get some sleep, but no! I'm sitting here writting this while watching the Tour De France. It will be interesting to see who wins this year with Lance out of the way.
Yoga:
I'm not sure if it really counts as a sport but it fricken hurts, I have been back doing Bikram Yoga the last two weeks and nearly passed out and/or thrown up each time But I do feel better afterwards
That is all the sports I can think of at the moment.
People watching Scrubs probably think it is funny that the main character has all these random thoughts all the time, but that is what it is like in my head! I keep thinking of things that I should write about by I always forget them once I start typing (well not so much forget as have more thoughts that distract me from the original thoughs!). I will endeavour to try and put more of them down in here.
I can't help by laugh at Peter Costello. Poor Peter, he now knows what we all do - you can't trust a politican (especially if it is John Howard! ) The sad thing is, I don't know if I would want Costello or Beasley as PM. Can we get some better leaders?
I wish I could cry on demand,
Boo Hoo, Boo Hoo
Given all these troubles on my mind,
The tears won't come out.
(Cry on Demand by Gomez)
That sums up how I'm feeling right now, it probably isn't helped by listening to Muse and VAST. I'm just feeling swamped with stuff, of which most I don't have much control over or really want to deal with! I think I should listen to some Chemical Brothers and Crystal Method, that should pick me up a bit
Oh I have now been in Sydney for 5 years and working for Propensity for the same amount of time! I'm almost starting to feel old!
I have got a few of the images that I uploaded linked, it will take a few more days before they are all processed and linked (don't worry Steve, I will have the Mardi Gras protos up soon!) The New Photos can be seen here.
Anyways, this stage of the Tour De France is nearly over so I'm off.
Later,
Steve
PS. See what I mean by random thoughts! This rambling should be the perfect example of that
PPS. Check out The image of Gir and Madsen that Steve Clark did:
Everybody dance now!
