Yay for the weekend!Date: 17/09/2006 Mood: Recovering Listening to: Scissor Sisters Melbourne is now out of the AFL finals, much to my annoyance! Especially as I had a ticket to this weeks game against Sydney if they beat Fremantle.
Been playing with my camera again. I have figured out that the camera is much smarter than me and I really should stop stuffing around trying to do the settings myself. I have been trying to play around HDR photography but I haven't got it fully worked out yet . At least it keeps me busy Oh, you can see all my Farktography entries here (mind you, they were evil having an early morning theme!).
Mind you I have been very busy this week - I spent over 80 hours coding this week! Half was work and the other half was coding on the North Ryde Dockers site, it is finished (bar some header image changes) but needs to have the data entered into the database (I have created a really nice way to do this though ).
Things that have been pissing me off:
Competitions that require you to make SMS entries - what happened to just getting a card and scrathing off the prize? Why must we pay to play your silly little games?? Competitions seem to have became a revenue raising event instead of just promoting good will (and an annoyance to enter!)
Coca-Cola have done the right thing and made is so I can enter their competition online but they have made the most horrific website ever! It is a flash based site that regularily chews up over 400Mb of RAM whenever you go there (and runs like a dog!). It looks they have tried to fix it up but is still a slow clunky site - what is wrong with good old HTML peoples?? Also coke peoples, if you want me to give you personal information about myself, please make it so I don't have to pick one broad category.
The people who created the Stargate SG-1 dvds - on the first dvd it has episode 1 of season 1 then it jumps to episode 20! They skipped most of the first season . Yes, the originally episodes are really grainy but that is no reason to skip them altogether, especially when you jump huge slabs of the story line.
Anyways, enough ranting from me.
Later,
Steve
