Rollercoaster of life!Date: 16/11/2006 Mood: I don't know anymore! Listening to: iPod on shuffle While writing this today, I am going to put my iPod on shuffle and put the song that plays - no cheating by skipping. I'm copying this idea from the Onion's AV club, they tend to do "Random Rules" with famous people so I'm going to require some suspension of disbelief from you This could be quiet embrassing!
Song: Tatu - All the things she said. Yes, very embrassing!
This week has been one of the weirdist ones I have had in a while. Things have just been happening one thing after another so I have been all over the place.
It started on the weekend when I came down with something (headaches and no energy) so that wasn't a good way to start. I went to work Monday not feeling the best but I had someone ring me saying they had seen my resume online and wanted to talk to me, which was nice after they mentioned they had seen this site (I'm embrassed about the code behind it ok! It was when I was just starting to learn .net). Work then did its best to bring me back down again (and they did it well!).
Song: Sun Electric - Introduction (remix). From the Run Lola Run soundtrack.
Tuesday leads to me feeling worse than on the weekend so I mope around the house feeling sorry for myself only to have Steve Clark message me to say he is now engaged! Niiicee
Song: Placebo - Because I want you. About time a good song came on, the Meds ablum is one of the best released this year.
Thankfully Wednesday and Today have been much more steady thankfully, I don't think I can keep up with the mood swings anymore! At least the good thing is that I have lost 3kgs in the last week
Song: Donavan Frankenreiter - Stay Young. From like a version, a Triple J album of cover songs (I have no idea what the original is!)
Song: Blur - Song 2 (techno remix). From my hunting down techno remix days on the net
Farktography hasn't been that great for me the last few weeks but I do have a good excuse for that - the two topics prior to this weeks ones were very US centric. Do you know how hard it is to fake Halloween and Autumn in Australia!
Halloween - Only got 9 votes (4, 3 and 3).
Autumn - 11 votes (9, 1 and 1).
This weeks topic is Flower Power. So far I have 12 votes already and one of mine is ahead of Steve Clark's entry (I'm actually happy about this as his photo is really good - bastard )
Really looking forward to next weeks competiton with the band names (still at 45!).
Song: Nine Black Alps - Everybody is. I was recommended this band by a friend only to find out later on the reason he knows of them is from the Burnout: Revenge game that he was a tester on (there were a few bands on the soundtrack that he recommended and I put two and two together - my mum should be proud )
Song: Scooter - Habibi Halua. My brother Paul put me onto this group.
Song: Foo Fighters - Learning to fly. Great song but the video for this makes the song 100 times better.
Song: Moby - Natural Blues. From Play. Apparently he is touring here soon but I can't say I really know anything of his except for this album.
Song: Fatboy Slim - You're not from Brighton. Looking up links has caused this bunch!
I have nearly finished two of my side projects
North Ryde Dockers
Balmain Dockers
I only have a few pages left to do on the Balmain site and it should be good to go!
Skit: The Mighty Boosh - Tundra (track 7). A funny group that Steve Clark put me onto
Skit: Martin Molloy - I need toner.
Skit: Bill Hicks - I'm Jack the ripper. About Australia
Anyway, that is all I can think of talking about at the moment.
Later,
Steve
