Moving is a pain!Date: 09/12/2006 Mood: Relaxing Arggghhhh I'm getting old now! Not just for the obvious upcoming reason but because I'm starting to suffer from the "oh I remember when ..." syndrome. Next I will be using a zimmer frame and yelling at kids to get off my lawn!
I say this because when I moved to Sydney originally it cost me about $700 to hire a truck. Now that I'm moving back to Melbourne I went to find out how much it costs to hire a truck and it has changed to between $1550 (budget) and $2000 (thrifty) for a one-way trip. That is without petrol and excess kms payments as well! Each company seems to have up their one-way charge from $150 to $1100!
It is cheaper to pay someone to load and unload all my stuff and transport it for me. This is something I didn't expect at all! (not that I mind )
Now all I need to do is organise a job for down in Melbourne and a place to live! At least some stuff is starting to get organised!
I have been giving my bike a great workout recently. I just ticked over 800kms on it (which means over 500km in the last two months!). I have been riding to work 4 days a week and I have even manage to break 20kph for the round trip (14kms).
Farktography:
Band Literals - I managed to get a 4th, 12th and 29th place .
No place like home - It managed to come crashing back down with a 49th, 73rd and 108th
Gas station and pumps - I did better with this one which was surprising as I only had one gas station anywhere near me! I got 30th and 2 in 46th place. Steve Clark kicked my arse with photos in 24th and 30th place (bastard ).
I have managed to make it onto the top 10 highest vote getters in the last 10 contest page and Steve Clark has made it onto the best average standing evar page.
I have next weeks photos done but I want to try to get another that will be better (hopefully!)
I have compiled a list of the performace of 20 stocks over a period of one to two and a half months, that have been spammed to me recently. Spammed Stock List
Oh I also managed to get 72 for my fundamentals of corporate finance course at uni this semester *does his happy dance*. This brings my average for the course to 68.5 I have also qualified for a graduate certificate in business and technology now but I think I will play on for the masters
Oh, here, enjoy some of Steve Clark's handywork:
(A little disturbing isn't it )
Anyway, time to add some more jokes.
Later,
Steve
