Japan Day 1Date: 08/03/2009 Mood: Feet broken! Listening to: None. I survived the trip over (after getting in trouble for putting Steve not Steven as my name on the ticket).
I was up rediculously early for me and went for a wander around for 3 hours. Saw some really weird things, such as this:
I can't see a dog doing really well at physics, but what do I know?
There was a smart dog we saw, it was doing heaps of tricks with its owner. We can only assume it is for some sort contest.
The cherry blossoms were out at Osaka Castle.
Some people must really hate their dogs!
And they put road through building!
Finally a photo from the Osaka Sky Garden of roughly where we are staying:
The toilet at the hostel is a thing of beauty - it has a heated seat, it squirts water at you and after a flush run the water from the top so you can wash your hands then.
It is also so much better that I'm over here with no-one that is good at speaking/understanding Japanese. I'm having to speak for myself and do things that I just took for granted last time I was here. Except I can't figure out what half the restaurants are selling at the moment (I need to find an okonomikiyaki restaruant near the hostel).
Now to sample the nightlife
Later,
Steve
